With the Apple iPad seemingly poised to steal some major market share from netbooks, I got to wondering, aside from looks, why would anyone choose an iPad over a better equipped and cheaper netbook?
First and foremost let me say that I get the whole Apple appeal. Apple products are beautifully produced, well designed and more importantly, they’re just flat out cooler than any other computer product out there. They feel good in your hands and are definitely nice to look at. They are the technological equivalent to Megan Fox, minus the club thumb.
Looks aside however, netbooks are cheaper and give users a lot more value for the money. So why on earth are iPads kicking ass in terms of sales compared to netbooks? Do looks really count more than value? What do you think?
